WELCOME ABOARD NATS # 50819 The
elegant cream and tan interior is fit for an Admiral and his Staff, along
with some lucky space available passengers. This certainly beats the
un-cushioned, fold-down metal paratrooper type seats that were the norm for
most wartime Gooney Birds! |

 |
LAVATORY Right
in the tail, through this door is the lavatory. The padded cabinet
doors on the left enclose the small galley with storage below. There
is a small rectangular port light, a window high in the fuselage, that
allows daylight into the lavatory. |

|
CLOSET
On
the left side of the plane forward of the lav is a coat closet. |
 |
STEWARDESS JUMP SEAT Yeah,
we know, it's not politically correct, but we're talking 1944 here! In
actuality, it may have been an enlisted sailor or WAVE who would have
occupied this seat right next to the door and across from their little
galley. |

WATCH YOUR STEP! Thanks
