"Northrop's P-61 Black Widow was the first
U. S. aircraft specifically designed as a night fighter," says aviation artist Craig
Kodera, "and Lady in the Dark - - - the most famous Black Widow of the 548th
Night Fighter Squadron - - was credited with the last two aerial kills of the Second
World War." This countersigned print bears the image of the squadron's emblem in its
margin.
