This 9-part series was produced by the US Navy to accompany the advanced flight training curriculum. These films cover the basics of operating a high-performance, propeller driven airplane. The information presented is timeless, and still remarkably current. The maneuvers are demonstrated in the films using the SNJ, which is the naval version of the AT6 Texan.

Before You Fly:
Covers the pre-flight inspection, ground and taxi operations.
Take-offs, Approaches and Landings:
Covers the basics of getting a high-performance airplane off of the ground, and safely returning.
Small Fields:
Techniques for operating out of soft, short, and unimproved fields.
Crosswind Approaches, Take-offs and Landings:
When the winds aren't cooperating.
Emergencies:
Inflight emergencies demystified.
Wingovers and Chandelles:
The fundamental basic aerobatic maneuvers.
The Wingover Roll:
Building on the earlier aerobatic lesson, this film moves into more advanced territory.
The Barrel Roll:
The classic, universally recognized, aerobatic maneuver.
Fundamentals of Formation Flying:
This film covers the fundamentals of both two-ship and four-ship formation flying.
