The Museum's collection features rare
of historic aviation artifacts,
helping to tell the story of Mid-Atlantic Aviation...
But of course the heart of the Museum is our collection of award-winning warbirds and classic airliners, as well as rare and unusual military and civilian aircraft spanning eight decades of flight.
The Museum's collection is constantly growing and is in all stages of restoration, from pristine award-winners to basket cases awaiting restoration.
MAAM is especially noted for the successful 11-year effort by its volunteer members in recovering a rare Northrop P-61 "Black Widow" from a mountaintop in Indonesia. One of only four in existence and the only wartime example, the restoration of this unique aircraft to the world's only flying example is underway.
Before you leave the entry building, take a look around the Museum Store where you will find a wide and varied selection of aviation art, apparel, models, toys, books, ceramics, MAAM-SIM flight simulation products, and official MAAM Member's gear.
But we know it's the planes that you have come to see, so let's get started.
