
Tech/Sgt Paul Gordon, US Air Force, spent four years with the 92d Bomb Group, 327th Bomb Squadron as a ball turret gunner in B-17 'Flying Fortresses'. He was shot down over northern France on Oct. 9, 1942 and spent 31 months as a Prisoner of War in Germany in four different POW camps. He made a forced march of 300 miles to Branau, Austria until he was liberated on May 3, 1945 by the 13th Armored Division, 3rd Army.
