WARNING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE

RUNWAY/AIRFIELD INCURSIONS ARE A HOT ISSUE AT KRDG

PERSONS ARE PROHIBITED FROM WALKING ANYWHERE OUT ONTO THE AIRFIELD (AIRPORT OPERATING AREA) WITHOUT PERMISSION AND WITHOUT CONTINUOUS TWO-WAY RADIO CONTACT WITH THE FAA CONTROL TOWER.  TO DO OTHERWISE RISKS CIVIL ACTION AND COULD RESULT IN A FINE OF UP TO $10,000 DOLLARS TO THE OFFENDER(S).  YOU CANNOT WALK ACROSS THE AIRFIELD (GRASS AREAS) OR CROSS TAXIWAYS OR RUNWAYS FOR ANY REASON.

Please download and copy this WWII WEEKEND PILOT/AIRCRAFT PROCEDURES information page.

    ● Please request and take note of NOTAMS posted for the event from a FAA Flight Service Briefer.

   ● Arrive early (0700-0900) to avoid congestion, especially on Saturday.  Gates open at 0830.

  • Follow all ATIS instructions carefully.

  • Review the airport layout diagram to become familiar with runway, taxiway and event parking diagrams.

  • In all probability you will be landing on runway 31.  Land so as to make a smooth deceleration to turn left onto Taxiway Delta.  Exit at taxiway Delta run-up area at the direction of the ground crews for parking on the run-up area and behind the tower.  (See Airport Diagram below.)

  • After landing, avoid a long, slow taxi down runway 31 to the turn off onto taxiway “D”, as this can really destroy the orderly flow of traffic.  Keep it moving.

  • Stay informed.  Things change, especially with current security concerns, etc.

  • Bring your own tie-downs.  You will be directed to the transient parking area.  (see diagram below). After shutting down on a hard ramp your aircraft will be parked on grass. There are no tie-downs available so you will need something that will work in grass.

  • You will ride a shuttle bus directly to and from the event and admission will be collected on board.

  • See Show Tips for more information to help you enjoy the show.
